The Vegetable Pathology Support Endowment

The Vegetable Pathology Support Endowment was kindly established in 2021 by a group of growers, packers, and producers that work in close collaboration with Dr. Lina Quesada-Ocampo’s NC State Vegetable Pathology Lab. The NC State Vegetable Pathology Lab is housed in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University.

Since the establishment of the endowment, different partners of the NC State Vegetable Pathology Program including but not limited to growers, packers, producers, chemical and seed companies, collaborators, and lab alumni, have enthusiastically contributed to the growth of the endowment.

“We are very grateful for these contributions that allow us to advance research and extension efforts in vegetable pathology. This endowment will allow us to remain responsive to our stakeholders, train the next generation of vegetable pathologists, and increase our knowledge of vegetable pathogens to improve disease management in vegetable crops. We are incredibly excited and honored with this gift.” Dr. Lina Quesada-Ocampo, Lead of the NC State Vegetable Pathology Lab.

Your generous gift will be used to support all research and extension activities of the NC State Vegetable Pathology program, providing financial stability to a program recognized for its excellence and responsiveness by stakeholders in North Carolina and beyond.
